Debra Parmley
Debra Parmley was born and raised in Ohio, but has resided in Bartlett, TN for the past fourteen years. An alumnus of the Antioch Writing Workshop and with a BA in English Literature from Marywood University, her poetry was published in literary journals during her college years before she turned to fiction. Her first short story appeared in the anthology More Monsters From Memphis and was nominated for a Darryl award. Not long afterward she turned to writing novel length fiction. Her first novel, A Desperate Journey, was a finalist in the American Title II competition put on by Dorchester Publishing and RT magazine and was released by Samhain Publishing Ltd, March 2009.
Debra also interviews authors every week on her Make-Believe Mondays blog and enjoys speaking to book clubs and on writing panels. A former travel consultant, she has visited thirteen countries and loves meeting new people wherever the road takes her.
