Bellagio

 

The lakeside of Bellagio, a famous town on the Como Lake in northern Italy. You can see easily why, the surrounding alps make it a magical place.

La Pelosa, Sardegna

 

La Pelosa is a famous beach in the north of Sardinia near Stintino. This watchtower from the Spanish times is situated on an island close to the beach and next to the infamous prison island, the Asinara. The crystalline water looks wonderful but be aware, this was early spring and I can tell you the water was rather chilly.

Camogli

 

This little fishing village near Genova on the Italian riviera is just wonderful. Colourful houses in a typical Ligurian style, a lovely stone beach and of course the focaccia, a very tasty kind of bread and the speciality of the region.

Duomo, Milan

 

This gothic cathedral is one of the largest in the world and maybe the most elaborated. Its outside has hundreds of statues and towers, almost impossible to count.

 

 

 

 

San Giorgio Maggiore, Venice

 

The island in front of Piazza San Marco with its beautiful church is one of the most classic images of Venice. It's easy to see why.

This lovely fishing island is a real treasure in the Venetian lagoon. Often neglected due to its bigger and more famous neighbour, it really surprises you with its uncountable pastel colors.

Castellammare del Golfo, Sicily

 

 

Lovely little fishing village in Western Sicily that gets rather busy in summer. It's located next to the unspoilt nature reserve "Riserva dello Zingaro".
