Ilmar Gahramanov's homepage

My website has moved to https://gahramanov.wordpress.com

I am currently an assistant professor in the Physics department of Boğaziçi University (Istanbul, Turkey). I worked as an assistant professor in the Physics department, Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University (Istanbul, Turkey) from 2017-2019. Before moving to Istanbul, I was a postdoc at the Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics (Albert Einstein Institute Potsdam-Golm, Germany). I got my PhD in Theoretical Physics from the Humboldt-University Berlin in 2016, under the supervision of Jan Plefka.

My research interests focus on theoretical and mathematical physics, with main interests in string theory, supersymmetric gauge theories, and integrable models. I am also interested in mathematical topics such as special functions, low-dimensional topology, divergent series, etc. To learn more about what I do, look at my research, publications, talks pages and the website of my group.

You can also find here information on events I am organizing (co-organizing).

This semester (Fall 2019) I give/organize the following courses:

Teaching

  • Fiz201: Mathematical methods in Physics I, Fall 2017, Fall 2018

  • Fiz365: Computational methods in Physics I, Fall 2018

  • Mat127: Analysis I, Summer 2018

  • Fiz202: Mathematical methods in Physics II, Spring 2018, Spring 2019

  • Fiz582: Introduction to Supersymmetry, Fall 2017
