Submission Date: October 27th, 2009
We will be having a horror themed short story contest this October in
celebration of Halloween. The only writing requirements for submission
are that your story must be no greater than 1000 words in length and
that the story must be of or related to the horror genre. The stories
will be judged by the Liit editors according to a number of factors
including but not limited to: how frightening the story is,
originality, relevance to Halloween themes, creativity, and the overall
quality. The winning story will be publishing in this semester's
literary magazine, and the author of the winning story will also be
endowed with Halloween treats.
Please send your submissions to
liit@iit.edu with "Halloween Short Story Contest Submission" written on
the subject line with your short story attached to the email. The
submission deadline is Tuesday, October 27th; .doc and .txt are the
preferred formats for submissions.
