- Mr. Shamim Akhter, a 2007 graduate from IIT Kanpur, visited the campus from August 20-25, 2011, for a fact finding mission regarding compensations to two workers' families following their avoidable deaths, reported here and here. He met with the representative of the worker who succumbed to death, the representatives of IIT Kanpur, and Additional Labour Commissioner. The findings from his meetings and conversations are provided in a fact finding report below along with the transcripts of the meetings and conversations:
