Prakhar Gupta is currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, IIT Hyderabad, and group leader of SUCSHM (nano) Lab. His current research interests are theoretical and computational nanomechanics, multiphysics modeling and simulations, and biomechanics. His lab focuses on
developing designs of next-generation metamaterials for electromechanical transduction which are genuinely designed to exploit the nanoscale effect,
exploring nanoscale biomechanics through mathematical modeling and simulation,
soft robotics.
He is actively looking for highly passionate colleagues who would like to complete their Ph.D., M.Tech. and B.Tech. projects. Several interesting projects related to solid mechanics are available at the SUCSHM lab, hence motivated candidates can feel free to contact Prakhar at: prakharg@mae.iith.ac.in. Kindly visit group's research page to know more details about the work.
