By Azam Paki, June26, 2009 We as nation are witnessing the series of attempts to undermine Pakistan. These attempts are been targeted at economic, social and at defenses of Pakistan. I will discuss the matter from another viewpoint. The attempts to harm Pakistan are been done to cause split in people of Pakistan at provincial, lingual and sectarian levels. There is another angle on which this split is being caused between military and people of Pakistan. This attempts started with Lal Masjid indecent when then President Gen Pervez Mushrraf happened to fall victim of such attempt, which concluded at end of his government and hatred between the people of Pakistan and Pak Army. Now Swat action is also adding to the already winding rift between people and armed forces of Pakistan. And one thing is very important that for the defense of Pakistan both has to be together. Recently at the assassination of Molvee Sarafaaz Naeemi the presence of Army was shown on media. This was totally unusual, as far as i understand there was not securities or other service provided to Molvee and matter was totally concerned with Police but on media the presence of army personal gives general public a different linked impression. Already angry religious circles with Pak army will has definite bad impression of such visuals. I thing presence of army on such incidents can do more harm than good for the image of Pak army in the eyes of public. Pak Army should be more vocal than visual on media to get the confidence of public and justification of its operations. |
