Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK), from its inception, has been promoting its Entrepreneurship Cell (E-Cell). It is a student body formed to cater to the needs of aspiring entrepreneurs. E-Cell is primarily responsible for fostering entrepreneurship amongst students and assisting budding entrepreneurs by providing them with necessary resources. It also helps the aspiring entrepreneurs by proposing an option of ‘Placement Holiday’ to the Placements Office wherein a student can opt out of placements and start a venture and avail the facility at a later date, if need be. This way, the lingering doubts in the minds of students on starting out their own ventures is taken care of by E-Cell.

Some of the activities conducted by E-Cell throughout the year are:-

·         B-Plan Contests: Intra & Inter College

·         Organize Entrepreneurship related Seminars

·         Conducting Entrepreneurship Workshops

·         VC Interaction with students

·         Participating in Entrepreneurship and Technopreneurship Events and Conferences across the country

·         Inform students about upcoming business contests and help them with the same

·         Interact with Entrepreneurship Cells & Incubation Centers of other colleges

E-Cell doesn’t limit itself to the above mentioned programs and tries to tailor the activities to the requirements of the batch. Every year, it makes sure that the schedule is prepared in accordance with the aspirations of the students to make it more purposeful.
