Safari Hunter's Classroom Procedures
I would like to personally welcome you to First Grade! We are now in search of aquiring the skills needed to excel!. Here are a few things I’d like to make you aware of.
C lass Room Parent Team
I now have openings for a Room Parent Team. Moms, Dads, this is your chance to really help out in the classroom, and keep other parents connected and informed. Please let me know if you are interested in a note or via email.
Weekly Testing
We will have a spelling and/or math test every Friday. The students will receive the spelling words at the beginning of the week and we use those words for a week, unless otherwise informed.
Behavior Management
Class Rules
- Hands to yourself.
- Respect personal space.
- Be kind to others.
- Walking feet.
- Inside Voice
- Listen well.
Center Rules
- Quiet voices only.
- Stay in your group.
- Whisper in the reading center.
- Always carry a pencil, class book, and folder.
- No talking in the computer and listening center.
These rules are subject to change.
Behavior Monitor
Perfect Purple
Yucky Yellow
Sad Orange
Rotten Red
Everyone starts their day at Perfect Purple. If a teacher has to call a student’s name 3 times, they have to move up to the next level. At Yucky Yellow, they will get their first Writing Assignment. They will write on handwriting paper the rule that they broke 10 times for homework. It must be done, signed by parent, and brought back the next day. If their names are called again 3 times, they move to Sad Orange and recieve silent lunch. Three more times, and they are moved up to Rotten Red and twenty lines. If they have three days of consecutive Rotten Red, a conference with the parents/guardians will be requested. | |
