Hello Parents/Guardians,
I hope you all had a restful and fun Fall Break. I hope students have been working hard on their projects. We resume school on Monday, October 19th, 2009 promptly at 8 AM. Parents, please be mindful of tardies and have students arrive on time. On Wednesday, October 22, 2009, we will be administering Math and Language Arts/Reading Benchmark tests. Please make sure that students are well rested, mentally prepared, and have a good breakfast that day.
I have sent home information in each students homework folder regarding Engrade, which is the online grading system Imagine is using, as well as their log in information for Study Island. Engrade is an online grading system that allows each parent to follow their child's progress as they are learning. Please use the log in information in their homework folders to begin. Study Island is a fun and interactive way for the students to have the opportunity to learn and be rewarded for their progress. The information is taped onto the pocket on the right side of the gold homework folders. Homework folders are a tool for communication from parent to student and need to come to school everyday.
Please do not be concerned if your student does not immediately have the highest score. Keep in mind we are looking and striving for progress and supporting each students best effort. The more confidence each student has in their work the more they will try to achieve the next time they are challenged! Any questions and/or concerns please contact me.
