Hello, My name is Mrs. Nkosi. I am originally from South Africa. I have been in America for 23 years. I attained my BS in Education from Spalding University in Louisville, KY. I am a Georgia Certified teacher who has taught excellently from P-5th grade in elementary schools. I am passionate about teaching First Grade because I feel joy in being a part of a child’s learning foundation.
My husband of 43 years is Mr. Nathaniel Nkosi. I have a daughter, Dr. Bates, who resides in Cobb County with her family and a son who resides in Finland with his family.
I am very excited to be taking a learning adventure with your child this year. We will be experiencing many new things during this school year. I pride myself in having high expectations and achieving great results. With that being said, I expect you as parents to aide me in your home routines as well.
Sometime when you are spending time with your child ask them what our out of room routine is and what it means when Mrs. Nkosi says “Give me Five”. I am already noticing much improvement among many of my students and my goal is to have them all thirsting for more knowledge when they leave my care.
The following is a quote from a former principal:
“Mrs. Nkosi is an exemplary teacher who serves as a master teacher and mentor to new teachers. She teaches the whole child with enthusiasm. Her students score exceptionally well on standardized tests. They also learn the skills for transferring their learning from year to year…..I have been able to assess that Mrs. Nkosi is an excellent teacher, team player and worthy employee.” ---- Marva J.
