 As a relatively new member of the IEEE, this is my first picnic and I was very impressed by all the hard work that people put in to make it possible. Some of the names are scattered throughout this issue. As I was chatting with people throughout the day I heard several times that the picnic was a great idea and something well worth attending. So with that in mind I encourage you to volunteer for next year's event. Its a great way to meet other members of the Section and is very satisfying when you see the happy participants... particularly the junior engineers.
