As those of you who attended know, it turned out to be a great day for a picnic. The weather was the best we could have hoped for, with no rain and just enough cloud cover to keep it cool for our morning and afternoon steam train excursions. There was ample food, ably catered by Danny's Barbeque and Saffron, and everyone enjoyed watching the model trains.

Social events like this are an important part of our activities as a professional society - they give us all an opportunity to socialize with our fellow members and learn what others are doing outside of our own sphere of interest.
I would like to extend a special thanks to the volunteers who helped with setup, registration, food service, clean-up, and picture-taking. We hope you will continue to be active with our organization - your support is much appreciated. We look forward to seeing you all at future meetings!
