IDSS-NDS 2009

International Workshop on Intelligent Decision Support Systems and Applications in
Networked and Distributed Systems 2009

October 19th-21st, 2009

Gold Coast, Australia

To be held in conjunction with

NSS 2009 - 3rd International Conference on Network & System Security (IEEE NSS 2009)

The purpose of this workshop is to bring together a set of high quality papers that would showcase the theories, case studies, results and related aspects of IDSS and its applications in networked and distributed systems.

In recent times, intelligent decision support systems (IDSS) and their related applications based on computational intelligence methods (such as fuzzy, artificial neural networks, evolutionary algorithm, hybrid systems etc.) have become increasingly popular in all disciplines. This is evidenced by the results and popularity of intelligent systems approach in the vast majority of critical software and hardware systems, encompassing the areas of management to hardware control systems. In addition to this, it is also realised that the functionality of stand-alone modules of such an IDSS is increased by being communicated across a networked or distributed systems.

Authors are invited to submit your papers relating, but not necessarily limited, to areas of intelligent systems in:

    • Artificial Immune Systems
    • Artificial Neural Networks
    • Autonomous Intelligent Robotics
    • Computational Intelligence
    • Computer Simulation
    • Cryptography
    • Data Visualisation
    • Evolutionary Algorithm
    • Evolutionary Optimisation
    • Expert Systems
    • Fuzzy Systems
    • Geographical Information Systems
    • Global Positioning Systems (GPS)
    • Health Informatics
    • Hybrid Systems Fusion
    • Intelligent Advisory Systems
    • Intelligent Agents
    • Intelligent Decision Support Systems
    • Intelligent Explanatory Systems
    • Intelligent Games
    • Manufacturing Systems
    • Multiagent Systems

Submission Guidelines

*** Submission is now closed ***

Please submit your paper at this site:

https://www.easychair.org/login.cgi?conf=idssnds2009

Submitted papers must not substantially overlap with papers that have been published or that are simultaneously submitted to a journal or a conference with proceedings. Papers must be clearly presented in English, must not exceed 8 pages, including tables, figures, references and appendixes, in IEEE CS proceedings 8.5" x 11" Two-Column Format (http://www.computer.org/portal/pages/cscps/cps/cps_forms.html), with Portable Document Format (.pdf). Papers will be selected based on their originality, timeliness, significance, relevance, and clarity of presentation. Submission of a paper should be regarded as a commitment that, should the paper be accepted, at least one of the authors will register and attend the conference to present the work.

Upon final review and acceptance of the paper(s), authors will be provided further instructions on how to submit the final camera ready versions for publication.

All papers fulfilling the above requirements will be published in the main proceedings of the IEEE NSS 2009
