ICT stands for Information and Communications Technology.  In the old days it was called IT (Information Technology).

The name change shows how the Internet and email (communications) over the past 10 years have changed the face of learning with computers in schools.

At Woodlane all students are given a personal user name and password which allows them to log on to the school network all around the school.

Every classroom has access to the school network where students can use subject specific programs to enhance their access to learning.

Students follow the national curriculum programme of study for ICT. This is adapted, where necessary, so that their individual needs and abilities can be identified, and every child can aim to achieve their full potential.
