Ice Mountain, WV Stewardship and Docent Training Weekend April 9 – 11, 2010: near North River Mills (2.5 hrs. from Arlington, 1 hr. from Winchester) Friday April 9, 2010 : 10:00 – 4:00 Garlic Mustard pull and Forest ecology hike. · 10:00 – 12:00 & 1:00 – 2:30 - Garlic Mustard pull - Gloves, bags, and identification assistance will be provided. - Pack a lunch and bring water. - Meet at the “Miller House” in North River Mills. · 2:30 – 4:00 Celebrate WV Arbor Day with a forest ecology hike on the Ice Mountain Preserve. Amy Cimarolli, Lead Scientist for the WV chapter of The Nature Conservancy will provide guests with an overview of the ecology of the forests that comprise the Ice Mountain Preserve. Saturday April 10, 2010 : 10:00 - 4:00 Docent Training Want to become a docent or hike leader for the Ice Mountain Preserve?
