With influences like Jim Hall, Lenny Breau, Pat Metheny, & Grant Green, guitarist Ian Toms takes a modern approach to the traditional sound of the archtop guitar. A graduate of McGill's Masters in Jazz program, he has performed with some of Canada's top musicians including Doug Riley, Pat Labarbera, & Kevin Dean. A Prince Edward Island-based musician who has been writing and playing jazz music for the past ten years, Ian delivers a smooth and full sound. Ian released his debut CD OPEN at the 2006 PEI Jazz and Blues Festival (check out video from the launch in wmv or mpeg).
