I am presently at the University of Washington's School of Marine Affairs working on new Arctic policies in response to climate change. Previously, as a U.S. Coast Guard officer I served as the Congressional Affairs representative for the Pacific Northwest, Commanding Officer of a patrol boat conducting fisheries law enforcement and search&rescue in the Gulf of Mexico, as a military diver and deck watch officer onboard a sea-going buoy tender in Hawaii.
