I make no claim to be the reincarnated Ann Lee, or that I am or was Ann Lee.  I am myself, yet I clearly remember parts of her journeys vividly, as if they were my own journey.  When I would look at my hand as Ann Lee on board the ship Miriah in 1774, I can not describe it as looking at her hand, but that I was looking at my own hand, which also happened to be the hand of a woman named Ann Lee; and my perception of 1774 seemed no different, no less immediate, no less real than my perception of (this) the present moment.

My reason for relating this memory [publicly] is about our need as a civilization to become consciously aware of the much larger identity within each of us.  When humanity only identifies with the traditional idea of the physical self, which stops where the boundary of our skin meets atmosphere, we can indeed feel very tiny and insecure.

As a race many of us are coming to realize that traditional cultural ideas of reason, logic, science and politics are not adequate to meet the civilization scale challenges we face in climate change, pollution, population; and in particular the conflicts between political and religious views; and resulting fanaticism that often results in conflict and blood shed.

As a civilization it is imperative that the race of man come to identify with the larger identity within each individual and each consciousness.  The word "soul" is not widely used, but you may substitute 'soul' for the words 'larger identity'.  

The expansion of our ideas of personality and identity, and the expansion of our idea of self is key to allow the opening of our Conscious Mind and our practical access to larger frameworks of practical knowledge.

At the risk of offending the cultural sensibilities of persons holding a view that they are supremely educated, logical, rational, and scientific, these very descriptions serve to limit the greater comprehension possible, for they may believe there is only one way to view the world, yet there is an infinity of ways to perceive, any of which can be valid to the person(s) entrained in their particular orientation and view point...

I am grateful to this other personality [Ann] within my larger identity for allowing me from time to time to see through her eyes and perceptions.  The realizations that flowed from that event allowed an inconceivable journey to unfold; because the realization that there are many many probable selves within the self have not diminished my sense of self, but have expanded and allowed me practical knowledge of the incomprehensible scale of being, and knowledge that we are indeed eternal, not temporal.  

The desire and the intent to know the larger identity, the desire and intent to expand the sense of self is all that is required!
