Why Study in Singapore
The study, conducted by the International Association for Evaluation of Educational Achievement (IEA) based in Boston, USA, certified the high quality of Mathematics and Science education provided in Singapore’s public schools. This is further proven when Singapore emerged first in both the Mathematics and Science study, which is carried out in 49 countries, of Grade 4 (Primary 4) and Grade 8 (Secondary 2) students in 2002-03.

The first institute of higher learning in Singapore, National University of Singapore (NUS) was acknowledged as one of the finest universities in the world. In Times of London survey of the 200 best universities in the world for 2004, NUS was ranked 18th. NUS was again placed 9th in league of Engineering and IT faculties in a survey, ahead of many renowned universities.

Our well established Nanyang Technological University (NTU) was amongst the world’s top 100 MBA schools, having MBA students who were rated as among ‘the best in the world’ in a 2004 study by the Economist Intelligence Unit.

In The Times Higher Education Supplement (THES)’s 2005 rankings, National University of Singapore (NUS) was ranked 22nd in the world and continues to have a strong foothold in the major disciplines. Nanyang Technological University (NTU) climbed to the 48th spot and was placed 26th among technology universities, which is a just niche away from being the best in the world.

In 2004, it was announced that University of New South Wales ( Australia) will open its doors in Singapore in March 2007 to be the first privately funded foreign university in Singapore. University of New South Wales ( Singapore) will be the first offshore campus for this university which is one of the leading teaching and research universities in Australia.
