4 August 2008: Google pages is Changing to Google sites. It was all good while it lasted. So bye to Google pages and hi to http://hweifang.blogspot.com/ from now. ********************* 2 August 2008: It was an idyllic day ... As he was not around to disturb me in the morning, I got to sleep until pretty late. Had a late breakfast after that at Pastamania after that. Tried their new salmon pasta. Pretty decent. Only complain was the salmon were so small compared to the poster at the entrance. Then, I went to Love Potion at Far East to look at some 姐妹 dresses. Very pretty and not too expensive if I take off the rack. There's even 20% discount for more than 5 pieces and 25% for more than 8 pieces. Huiqi came to meet me after that and shared a 姐妹 attire idea her friend has, which is printed t-shirts. Me think it's a rather cool idea - "Bridesmaid" and "Groomsman" t-shirts. After some walking around, we proceeded to red dot design museum for its monthly showcase. It was an interesting place. Many local designers selling clothes, bags, trinkets, knick-knacks can be found here. You can even get a portrait drawn here for free and if any of the drawing catches your eye, you can bring it home at $8 per piece. For dinner, we met Iyn and Hweeyee at Buena Vista to go to Colbar. It's my 2nd time there. The first was with Poly friends. It's a pretty cool and laidback place to be if one has a car. If not, it's rather out of the way but that's part of the charm, I guess, being at a place where nobody else can go that easily. Ended the day with 2 scoops of ice cream each at The Daily Scoop (mine was wasabi mango!! and coconut) and lots of updates from one another. |
