In addition to teaching our undergraduates basic research techniques so they can enter a faculty research laboratory with confidence, the Research Techniques Facility Workshop (RTFW) is an outreach (afterschool) program for highly motivated students from the new Manhattan-Hunter Science High School (MHSHS). Every year, sophomores and a few exceptional freshmen come to Hunter College and participate in our workshops. The workshop is offered twice a year (in the fall and spring semesters), and hosted by the Hunter College Department of Biological Sciences.
