NYC Science Teachers (NYCST)

With funding from the HHMI-USE grant we offer a four week, laboratory intensive summer workshop in molecular biology and biotechnology. High School and Middle School science teachers from all boroughs of New York City are encouraged to apply. We accept a mix of new and experienced teachers. Each participant who achieves a grade of B or better receives college credit or a stipend, as well as equipment and supply money to outfit their school’s biology lab. Participating teachers are required to bring their science class on a trip to The American Museum of Natural History and on a trip to Hunter College.
