 Jean Geddes School of Dancing(Please check the agenda for exact dates) Who to contact: Miss Jean Geddes Tel: (0161) 881 4600 Email: jg.dancing@btinternet.com Website: www.jeangeddes.co.uk The Jean Geddes School of Dancing caters for adults and children from 3 years of age and has been in existence for more than twenty years teaching various types of stage/theatrical dance (tap, ballet, modern, national, character, greek, song & dance). Examinations are taken in three major subjects (tap, ballet and modern) from infant examinations to teaching qualifications. The classes at Humphrey Park are for infants who are taught Ballet and Tap technique. The first class is at 10.30am (an infant examination class) followed by two classes at 11.15am, the Rainbow Award class and our "Tinnies" class. The children will eventually progress to the classes at Victoria Park Infant School which commence at 9.30 a.m. each Saturday. We produce a display every two years in which all children are able to take part:   
Children wishing to take part in Festivals are also catered for and they receive private tuition in order to learn the special dances needed . Children are taught by fully qualified staff and the work is always
supervised by Miss Jean Geddes herself. We take National Association of Teachers
of Dancing Ltd
examinations. Many ex-pupils are either dancing or acting professionally
in various productions worldwide whilst others have become highly
respected teachers.
Also we have had many winners in the Theatrical Scholarships held
by The N.A.T.D and Theatre Dance Council International.
