Field Training Exercise ATLANTIC HOPE 08 was held on March 7-9, 2008, on the main campus of Indian River College (IRC) in Fort Pierce, Florida.

This three day long exercise was designed to test the ability of disaster relief and humanitarian studies students to apply what they have learned about the planning and conduct of relief missions in a full-scale simulated disaster environment. In this exercise participants "deployed" to the fictional country of Atlantica to help out in a humanitarian crisis.
