Find Yourself.pdf Find Yourself
David West Introduction
If
you urgently need to improve your English, and learnabout finding
yourself at the same time, then this book is written for you.
The experience that has contributed to this little book, has involved
life in Europe and Asia for over 60 years, and includes socialising
with European people for over forty years and Asian people for 20
years.
I have tried to instil the essence of that experience into these few pages. The choice between British and American English was made in
favour of British.
I have made an effort to help you to overcome the inevitable vocabulary
problems, by actively trying to keep the use of the English language
to around the level of ELTS 6.5. I have included a short dictionary,
with the meanings of the words as intended in the context in which I used
them.
In other words, you can probably read this book without the aid of a
dictionary, making it easy to read when
travelling.
Those people studying to pass the IELTS examinations will also benefit considerably.
If reading on line, you might find it easier to open the dictionary in another window. A spiritual introduction
We
have all had times, many times, when we feel unsure of ourselves. We
often feel that we are in the wrong place at the wrong time.
This
little book is about using these feelings to discover the truth about
ourselves. We
may have noticed the little voice that sometimes speaks in the quiet
moments. We may even have sometimes taken the advice offered by that
little voice in our heads. Find
Yourself teaches us how our body functions, how our mind functions,
and how our spirit functions, and how we can combine the three
aspects to become a whole person. Having
found yourself once, you will never be lost again.
