We arrived in Dallas on July 4th, Independence Day in 2008. We took some time off after working in Jill's Country Kitchen on the Big Island for over three decades and after, oh, 36 hours, got bored and went out exploring the neighborhood for a venue to put our cafe idea in. We ran across Dennis Victor's place first and the price was right, but it was just outside of Bishop Arts proper.  After this, we spent the next three months looking for other places before returning to Dennis' place which was still up for grabs, bless his heart. All the other venues we scoped out were either too small, too large, too much...
