Mr. Christopher Moseley is in his sixth year of teaching in Richmond Public Schools. A product of RPS, Mr. Moseley graduated from Huguenot High School in 2001 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education degree from Bethune-Cookman University, Daytona Beach, Florida.
His professional teaching experiences include having the privilege to teach elementary, middle, and high school band in his short time of teaching. At the elementary level, the enrollment of his band increased dramatically having over seventy students in the band program in just two years. On the secondary level, the concert, marching, and jazz bands have consistently earned superior and excellent ratings at the State Performance Assessments as well as the various National Music Festivals in which his students have participated.
Currently he is seeking a Master's in Music Education from Virginia Commonwealth University. Mr. Moseley’s professional affiliations include Music Educators National Conference (MENC), Virginia Music Educators Association (VMEA), Virginia Band and Orchestra Director’s Association (VBODA), the International Trumpet Guild, and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
Mr. Moseley has performed on the 20th Century Fox Movie “Drumline”, the Ellen DeGeneres Show, ESPN, EA Sports Video Games, MTV, BET, The Word: Bobby Jones Gospel and at Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL. He maintains an active schedule as the Director of Bands at Huguenot High School and as the trumpeter in the band QuintEssential Jazz. He is sought after for various performances and engagements in the Greater Richmond Area. |
