Inorganic Nanomaterials Lab

(한국외국어대학교 화학과 나노무기재료 연구실)

We are nanomaterials research group in the Department of Chemistry, Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS). Our campus is located in Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do, Korea. There are many current research activities in our group. We are mainly focusing on the preparation and application of novel nanostructured materials. Nanoscale materials are having at least one dimension less than 100 nm. Due to the size-reduction effects, the physicochemical properties of nanomaterials are quite different from bulk materials. Nanomaterials include nanoscale metals, nonmetals, metal oxides, and organic-based materials. They are very useful materials for energy-related applications such as photovoltaic cells, electrodes, and supercapacitors. They are also suited for highly sensitive sensory systems and environmentally benign green chemistry. We are also working on the development of novel nanoporous materials for hydrogen storage, carbon dioxide capture, and protein delivery. We are using various sophisticated analysis tools such as TEM, SEM, AFM, XPS, PXRD, single crystal X-ray diffraction, gas sorption analysis, solar simulator analysis, UV/Vis spectroscopy, NMR spectroscopy, gas chromatography, and the like. If you are really interested in new exciting field of nanotechnology, you can join our group.
