Details about when you
can run your Model Boats

As at 16th March, 2008

THERE IS RUNNING OF MODELS EVERY SUNDAY UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

This means that the southern side of the lake (200 metres of it) has been set aside for the exclusive use of the speed boat operators. Transmitter frequencies should not be a problem as most operators have acquired "spectrum" systems. Those operators without the "spectrum" systems must check frequency board first and consult the HARBOUR MASTER.
The side where the frequency board is located has been allocated to the cardigan brigade and 50 year old kids.
By order of the members who attended the General Meeting on 16th March, 2008.   ( Unanimous vote).

HUBERTUS MODEL BOAT CLUB COMMON SENSE SAFETY RULES:

1.    Children must be strictly supervised and are not allowed to enter the water under any circumstances, and must not run along the lake's edge.
2.    No alcohol can be consumed outside club premises.
3.    Speed boat competition racing is not permitted.
4.    The Club's Life Buoy must be situated at the lake at times when boats are being operated on the lake.
5.    Any construction work required to be carried out at the lake must be approved by the H.C.C. Board first.
6.    Rubbish left at the lake must be removed at the end of the day.
7.    A life jacket must be worn whilst operating the rescue boat.
8.    Instructions by the Harbour Master must be strictly followed. His duty is mainly to supervise the frequency board, take particulars of collisions and or complaints on running days. He should maintain peace and harmony and ensure all members and visitors have a successful and happy day.
9.    The southern side of the lake, accessible by car, has been set aside for the use of speed boats (including electric speed boats). Most speed boat operators now use the "spectrum" system and frequencies should not bother them. Operators of speed boats without the "spectrum" set up must check frequency board first and consult the harbor master.
10.    Any member or visitor behaving in a rowdy manner and or against common decency will be requested to remove his
boat from the lake and leave the premises.
The H.M.B.C. Committee.
