Navy Arvo

A gentle breeze and a warm sun greeted HMBC's commanders as they arrived and unloaded, another good turnup even with a few of the usual suspect MIA. The waters were deemed clear of the underwater service and free sailing was the order of the day.

3 new ships took to the lake, Phil's PT105 spent the day clearing the lake of any stray Japanese, Ray's SWATH IX-529 Sea Shadow vanished before our eyes making navigation very interesting and Craig's HMAS Jervis Bay "The Dili Express" made a welcome return following a major electrical overhaul.

The Italian Navy made a successful return following cooking classes, was that spaghetti on the masts or antenna cabling Dave? also in attendance was the Finnish navies FNS Tornio, Joe's Royal Australian Navy's HMAS Arunta, Mick flying the Hammer and Sickle with Nanushka and the RAF Range Safety Launch who suffered some electrical issues.

An enjoyable afternoon followed with all now looking forward to the 1st Anniversary Navy Arvo Sail on the 7th of November, with 22 Naval vessels taking to the lake or on display over the first 6 Navy Arvos why not come and join us and experience the mateship of naval life. See you all then, their is plenty of lake for all!
