Director Hong Wolfe Hong Wolfe is involved in business and education, and strives to provide quality services to local communities. Educated in the physical sciences, Hong has a MS in Chemistry from San Francisco State University and a PhD in Biophysics from Stanford University. She has worked as a professor and a research scientist, and is currently enjoying being a mother and a real estate broker with Town & Country Realty in Corvallis, Oregon. Treasurer Guobiao Zhang Luh Jang Chen Academically trained and practiced professionally as an educator, artist, and designer; Luh Jang has combined arts, crafts, and computer multimedia technique into a friendly and effective teaching practice. Luh Jang is a graduate of National Taiwan Normal University, one of the most prestigious universities in Taiwan and the only university which provides a complete 4 year teaching and instructional focused curriculum. Before opening her own Corvallis-based language and art teaching studio in 2004 Luh Jang was the Chinese Language Art teacher at Ashbrook Independence School for 6 years. Luh Jang also served as the Principal of Corvallis Chinese School from 2004 to 2007 and has been the senior teacher since 1994. Luh Jang is currently the Executive Director of Northwest Association of Chinese Language Schools (branch of NCACLS) and the President’s Scholar in language education (Taiwan). Program Coordinator (Volunteer) Yuanfang ZhouMajored in education, Yuanfang Zhou has a master degree in curriculum and teaching methods of Chinese literature and language. She was a teacher in Chinese literature in an elementary school before becoming the executive assistant in a publishing company. Gelan Cai In 1987, Gelan Cai received B.A. in Chinese Linguistics and Literature from East China Normal University in Shanghai, P.R. China. She taught Chinese in Huilong Middle School before moving to the Corvallis, Oregon, then she taught nine years of Chinese in Willamette Chinese School. Currently, this is her fifth year as a K-8th Chinese teacher in Ashbrook Independent School. Gelan believes that with enough love, care, creativity, and responsibility, teaching can be a very rewarding job. Yea-Ching Wu Yea-Ching Wu has been teaching Chinese as a second language for more than ten years at Corvallis Chinese School.
Teacher Hong Xia Majored in education, Hong Xia spent years in teaching Chinese and mathematics in the elementary school in China before she moved to Britain, where she taught Chinese in MingKah Chinese School and worked as a volunteer in a disabled children's center. She continued her Chinese teaching in Singapore, then came to Corvallis in 2002. Holding that good attitude makes huge difference in children's learning, Hong has been teaching Chinese in Willamette Chinese School before joining us.
