Happy Thought Farm is family owned and operated. The Frank Family Team has been raising Registered Dairy Goats since 2003. Susan started in Toggenburg Dairy Goats as a child in 4-H, their daughter, Sarah decided that she wanted to show Toggenburg Dairy Goats and show poultry as her 4-H projects when she became elgible to show animals in 4-H. The Happy Thought Farm prefix was registered with the American Dairy Goats Association (ADGA) on April 1, 2004. We have been members of ADGA since 2003.
Animal Husbandry and nutrition are at the core of caring and maintaining the health of our herd. Our farm team consists of our veterinarians and animal nutritionist, in order to effectively maintain the health of our herd, milk production of our does, and the virility of our buck. Strict bio security measures are taken to prevent diseases and to maintain the health of our animals. To accomplish this, we regularly test for Johnes Disease, CAE, CL.
Currently, our herd consists of breeding buck and does. We show nationally, such as the Indiana State Fair, Michigan Dairy Goat Society Shows, and Ohio Dairy Goat Shows. We take pride in raising happy, healthy, and beautiful Toggenburgs.
