Life coaching helps people explore current issues and aspirations, develop and achieve personal goals. We draw upon work in psychology, executive coaching and mentoring to provide our clients with insights and options which may not be evident to them. Often our clients feel some anxiety about their current situation and so can find it difficult to think clearly about their best route through a problem.
The Life coach acts as a “sounding board” to the client, taking a neutral position in actively listening to the client’s problems, helping them to formulate a practical approach to dealing with their issues.
Life Coaching is provided by Dr Douglas Young, a Chartered Psychologist who is an assessor for and accredited by the Association for Coaching and the Society for Coaching Psychology, and a member of the British Psychology Society's Special Group in Coaching. Douglas has published many articles on coaching in academic journals, coached hundreds of people, and run programmes on coaching for major organisations in the UK and USA.
