The Beginning Formed in 2005 by an enthusiastic group of Kannadigas living in the First State, the Hoysala Kannada Sangha of Delaware focuses on emulating the rich culture of the state of Karnataka, India. March 04, 2005 - Delaware now has its own kannada Sangha with roots in the First State. The group formally kicked off the Sangha and chalked out the various events for the year. May-Jun, 2005 - The Sangha bylaws were drafted and the charter was approved by the board of directors. First elections were held by the board of directors and office bearers were elected. Progress Hoysala Kannada Sangha meets regularly at the Hindu Temple of Delaware for cultural events like Ugadi, and Kannada Rajyothsava. The Sangha has focused to portray kannada culture and heritage. Kids, who are the next generation of kannadigas in the US, are given priority. The Sangha has organized many kannada events and is constantly looking for more opportunities.
