Howl, the voice
of UNM-Taos, is a journal of the arts. Howl represents the powerful voices of
Taos and its diverse Northern New Mexico culture. UNM-Taos students
produce Howl to showcase a selection of written and visual arts. Howl's
voices are thunderous. They resonate with the interconnected chords that serve
to unite our personal, academic, and common realms. Howl hums across
borders and fences, penetrating the minds and hearts of all who are courageous
enough to listen. Taos is a place situated in ancestral rhythms and lies
between the Sangre de Cristo mountains and the deepest canyons in all
of New Mexico. Perhaps the
magnetic pull between these two is what draws us in and out of ourselves and
has attracted so many to settle in this valley. Special News: The Spring 2012 edition of Howl will be released on May 7th. Everyone is invited to the publication celebration, also on May 7th. Exact time and location of the release party will be announced soon! |
