We know there is water - (well, we're pretty sure).
Cyprus has water shortage nearly every year, but underground water can be found in large amounts and we know that our village has underground water. With this water we can irrigate our trees and vegetables free - so here goes!
 Roger: So how deep do you think?
Costa: 15 metres, maybe.
Roger: OK, 15 metres it is!
 15 metres - that's it.
Wet, but no water  So that's it? |
 5 metres and counting .....
 Costa: So how much deeper? Roger, thinks: 15 x 5 take away the first number you thought, ummm....
5 metres more!!
 OK, pay me! Errrrr, but I haven't seen water yet! |
 10 metres and counting .....
Anything wet, yet?
No, but there IS water!
 At 16.5 meters ......WATER!!!
OK collar and cap it!
 Now watch me measure ..... see - it's wet, you have WATER!!!! well I'll just drop a stone - SPLOOOSH!!!
One day later, the water had risen 5 metres inside the well. |
