Wood and stone - traditional.  And today, they have returned and combined to offer ecologically sound and structurally efficient building materials that give texture and character to our home.

 

Our stonemason has all the skills forgotten in many countries.  Here, he is able to work with a soft local stone to produce a beautiful entrance and archway.

 

It's interesting that our Cotswold stone cottage in Gloucestershire - our home for 23 years - was built with a stone of the same colour and characteristics as that being used in Cyprus - "a little bit of home away from home".
