Michael James Baker was born on the 18th April 1989, and is considered one of the few true legends of Idsall. With his wit, charm and ability to beat Joe in every law test ever, he is a favourite among teachers and students alike. 

The story of how he came to gain the nickname Mag is an interesting one, and is credited to Steven Crowson. Steven thought it would be funny to start calling him Maggot, for obvious, but completely untrue reasons, which later became shortened to Mag.

Mag's superior skills in football and basketball have made him a sporting idol to his smaller counterpart Joe, who unfortunately has no ability in either of these sports. 

Mag is known around Idsall for his humour and constant rivalry (which some compare to a married couple) with Joe, and more often than not, Mag beats Joe. One of the favourite stories of the SIxth Form is of Joe's birthday party at which Mag got Joe a tub of Miracle Grow as a present. Unfortunately, Joe didn't see the funny side of this harmless joke, and has never let Mag forget about it.
