Ride horses on the sea shore and in the waves
HORSEBACK BEACH ADVENTURES
Enjoy leisurely beach strolls on horseback.
Be thrilled by a fast gallop if you have more experience and confidence.
Our 12km bridle trail meanders through some lovely bush paths with
fascinating colourful and unusual birds to spy, alongside market gardens and
onto a peaceful beach.
You may choose to ride the full distance without stopping. Or you could opt
to dismount for a most welcome half way rest, down some light refreshments,
& possibly take your horse for a swim or roll in the shallows if the
weather is just right!
Or use your break opportunity to visit the mangroves on a pleasant boardwalk
if weather is unsuitable for horses' swim, or if this is your taste of fun.
PRICES?
R335pp for our "Rest stop and Horses' Swim" ride, which lasts around 3
hours.
R225pp for the "Non-Stop" ride, takes about 2 hours.
Cash only! Regretably we do not accept cheques and credit cards.
WHEN?
By appointment only. Usually 3pm.
Available Friday to Mondays in early- to mid-afternoons.
We are however closed every Tuesday to Thursday.
WHO?
No experience required. Basic instructions given before riding out.
At least 1 experienced guide accompanies every ride.
Kindly reply (call on phone; SMS text message us; write an email; be
imaginative) with:
1- all riders' names,
2- ages,
3- weights,
4- each one's horse riding history, and
5- WHEN you would like to ride.
This info will help us to plan ahead and assign appropriate horses.
WEAR?
Long pants and shoes. Sun block is recommended. We supply safety hard hats,
saddles and bridles.
DIRECTIONS?
Adjacent Durban International Airport. Tucked away on a little private road off the map.
Detailed directions will be sent on confirmation of rides.
In order for us to successfully send to you the correct set of route
instructions, kindly inform us timeously from which direction you will be
driving:
a- Toti (N2 North),
b- Durban Central (M4 South),
c- Pinetown, or Umhlanga (N2 South).
