The Story

Nav Bar

As a person and as Grand Master, I am fairly laid back but there are a few rules and common courtesies that I'd like to lay down so that there are no misunderstandings on what is expected of anyone that dons the KT tags and uniform.

Respect

  • Respect the cultures, beliefs, opinions and decisions of others, although we may not always agree

  •  Treat each other with courtesy, sensitivity, tact, consideration and humility

  •  Accept the Chain of Command and respect each other regardless of position

  •  Respect the skills of your teammates AND of your opponents

Respect is key for this unit. Respect your team, your commanders, your opponents, and yourself. If you don't respect your team, then trouble can pop up. Don't respect your opponents' skills and expect to find yourself on the wrong end of an LBX 20 more often than not.

Cooperate:

To win and be successful you must cooperate. I know that not everyone gets along and that's fine, I understand that, but no matter what you may feel about your teammates, put it aside in practices and games. TOLERATE YOUR TEAMMATES! If you let the animosity pop up during a game, then the shit will have hit the fan. If you let animosity get in your way and cause trouble for the unit, then we are going to have to sit down and have a nice long chat...

Coordinate

Everyone MUST HAVE COMMS. don't have comms, then you don't play...I don't care if you cant talk over comms, at least listen in. if you don't know where to get comms, go to the Downloads Page and download the client, it's free so there should be no excuses why you cant get it. But everyone needs to be on comms for matches so that there is no confusion on that needs to be done and so people don't get blown up while they're distracted typing.

Stay Active

I know that real life pops up at unexpected times and that its not possible to make it for everything, but try to stay as active as you can, even if it's just posting in the forums to let us know you're still here.

Quote from Templarhistory.com :

"The Order of the Poor Knights of Christ of the Temple of Solomon in Jerusalem, (the Templars). This singular group was founded on the completely unique innovation of combining the triple monastic vows of chastity, poverty, and obedience, with the military vocation of knighthood."

Now lets be realistic...this is a game. There's no need for nor expectations of vows like Chastity and Poverty...though I'd assume most of us here (all of us students) have enough issues with the poverty theme as is. However the 3rd vow...the vow of Obedience...still has a place in this game world. I would ask all of you to keep this vow in mind in games should we ever play in a competitive match as a unit.

Listen to the appointed commanders...there's a reason they are where they are. If they say "Jump" you should already be answering "How high?". If what you feel is a wrong call is made in a match, follow it anyway. The final outcome is on the shoulders of the commander who made the call...if we win we win, if we lose then we learn. Don't be afraid to pipe up with an analysis of the situation if you disagree, but do still follow the commands given...I don't want to have any problems or losses due to a disregard for orders.
