Prayer Requests 1.24.2012:
10.29.2011: Nicaragua is facing the Presidential election on November 6th. May strength, discernment and fervent desire to change the country for better drive the election results. 10.29.2011: Wisdom, knowledge and the understanding heart as Jennifer continues her first phase as the elementary vice principal. 10.29.2011: The clinic is in need of new additions. As we look into ways to better serve our Nicaraguan people, pray for wisdom and needed funds to go forward in full force with the project. Young Life has begun its fourth year at ANS. WYLD Life is beginning its second year. Spiritual battles are out there definitely as we take off again this year. Pray for wisdom, unity, and grace. Matthew and I will be visiting our "home" church in New Haven, Connecticut coming weekend. Matthew will be delivering the sermon on Sunday, September 12th. Please pray for joyful hearts of all in reunion and for the celebration of the mission works that the members of the church and we have accomplished together through God. (9/05) My sister's church is planning a short mission trip to Nicaragua in January and is in the beginning stage of planning. Please pray for the leaders and move the hearts of people to join the team. (9/05) Elise is slowly preparing for U of Pennsylvania. Pray for wisdom, a heart that wants to follow God always, protection from all evil, good godly people around her, and to do her best work at the university.(8/20) Summer is always filled with mission teams. May all involved be blessed and renewed for God's work

(To make a difference in healing women's cancer through the partnership with the Ortiz Cancer Association) 7. 가족의 건강과 안전과 재정적인 안정이 넘치도록 주님의 사랑과 은혜와 역사가 늘 넘치는 삶이 되기를 기도합니다. (To experience God's blessings and presence in our lives through the family's health and monetary stability) Jennifer's father had a stroke. Please pray for his complete recovery, his faith in God and Mom's strength as she cares for him. Pray for Missionary Matthew as he travels to Omaha, Nebraska for a 3 day revival and then to travel to Virginia to have a meeting with the Hope Nicaragua Board of Directors. (February 19-24) **My good friend, Sue Ann Park and her sister, Mary Ann, and their families (total of 10) will be visiting our mission sites from February 14-20. Please pray for many awesome meetings with God. **Our new clinic will be opened on Monday, January 11, 2010. It will be staffed with a pediatrician, an OBGYN, an Internal Medicine doctor and a dentist. Please pray for this new ministry. We would like this clinic to be approved by the Ministry of Health. Please pray for its process. We have named the clinic, Clinica Providencia, which is Providence Clinic. **A short term mission team is visiting us from Long Island, NY right now. They are here from Jan. 4-8. Please pray for God's overflowing grace on both the team and the Nicaraguans who meet them. **The third school quarter for Jennifer, Elise, Emily and Joshua begins on Monday, January 11th. Please pray for wisdom, perseverance and love as Jennifer teaches her 5th graders and as the children study in their respective grades. | Thanksgivings 1.24.2012
10.29.2011: Our staff, some of them who have been with us since the beginning, for giving their best in all that they do for Hope Nicaragua. 10.29.2011: All three Jun children are flourishing in their studies, in their faith journey and in character building. Continue to pray for their journeys. We had a wonderful visit to New Haven Church; it was absolutely great seeing our old church members. Thank you everyone who greeted us warmly. Our Providence Clinic is doing super well. It's so great that we have been connected with the Women's Cancer Organization, and our clinic is used for pre-screening the cancer patients. (9/05) My dad is recovering well. He sounds great, feels great, has gained some weight and is in good spirit. God is great. (9/05) Elise is settling well in her new environment. She loves her dorm, her room and her roommate and hall mates. Praise God! Thanks for all your prayers. (9/05) Our family trip to Korea was unbelievable. God is good, God is great, God provides. (7/2010) The children's feeding program takes off at El Paraiso church. Over 80 children get a hot meal a day, 5 days a week! Praise the Lord! Praise God for the Christ Central Presbyterian Church mission team, as well as the KCPC's the past week. It was hot and sticky, but everyone worked hard and were blessed! Jennifer's Dad is slowly recovering. Thanks be to God! Elise has been accepted to many of her top choice universities. Thanks for praying for her since December! **Sue Ann and Mary Ann left today with their families (2/21). All 10 of them, including 3 years old KC, 5 years old Jocey, 7 years old Keven, 10 years old Sam and Hannah and almost 17 years old Ryan, left in good health. The children befriended Nicaraguan children and embedded their smiles in the hearts of many and the parents showed the ways of Godly family to our family and to the people of Nicaragua. Thank you for visiting! **Matthew just celebrated his 48th birthday on January 9th. We thank God for His providence over Matthew's life. **El Paraiso Church was completed in November. You can see some of the pictures from its foundation to the current building in the Home page of this site. We are thankful for this church that will share the good news of Jesus Christ in that area and beyond. **2009 was the year Jennifer's mom celebrated her 70th birthday, as well as her brother in law, Tae, who celebrated his 50th. The whole Han clan (17 of us) met in Miami in December to celebrate these two big events together. It was the second family reunion trip. The first was in 2000 in Martha's Vineyard, MA. We are so thankful for our family whose love never ceases for us and for our mission. |
