HOPEFrome

Christians from all churches in Frome joining in practical action for the town.

One hundred and fifty hours of litter picking!

At least 100 volunteers joined in the spring litter pick hosted by HOPEFrome and Friends of the River Frome attending one of the following venues: Old Market Yard (Frome Canoe Club); The Mount (Mount Community Garden); Stonebridge (Tesco); St John’s Rd/ Ellworthy estate (Corner shop) on 10 March.

Almost one hundred bags of rubbish and various other peculiar items. including a toilet seat, complete with toilet brush and a two foot crowbar were collected during the morning.

Many of these busy volunteers arrived at St Catherine’s church hall café, Park Rd, after wards to compare finds and enjoy the Fairtrade foods on offer!

Look out for more information on the autumn litter pick or speak to your church HOPEFrome representative.

Thank you all for your fantastic efforts!

Please join us on our forthcoming Frome Litter Pick.

HOPEFrome started as HOPE 08, a national initiative joining churches across denominations and encouraging us to live out our faith in practical ways in our communities. We were so excited by the projects that we started in 2008 that in Jan 2009 we continued the work by launching HOPEFrome, engaging even more volunteers from all the churches in Frome.

Perhaps you’re here because you’ve met one of our volunteers or because you noticed us out and about and wondered who we are.  Hopefully this website will help you answer any questions, but if you do want to know any more just send us an email and someone will get back to you asap.
