Ready to participate? Here's how!

Participation Requirements:
  • Dogs must be 6 months of age or over
  • Dogs must not be aggressive with new people or food
  • Dogs must be free from major health problems
  • Previous obedience training isn't necessary. We welcome dogs with all types of manners.
  • We can accommodate for special treat needs (e.g., allergies, pick eaters). Please tell us when scheduling.

Scheduling Information:

Participation takes less than an hour! You may choose to participate with your dog or watch from an adjacent viewing area.  However, most owners choose to participate with their dog.

All projects take place in Rosenstock Hall on the Hood College Campus. There is ample parking immediately in front of the building and a "stairless" entrance. On the day of you and your dog's individual appointment, we will have someone meet you in front of Rosenstock Hall on Rosemont Avenue shortly before your appointment to direct you where to go.

We typically schedule appointments at least one week in advance for individual appointments.
For more information or to schedule an appointment, e-mail: HoodDogStudy@gmail.com or Kundey@hood.edu.

Have multiple dogs? Want to bring them all?
Great! We often bring in multiple-dog families for back-to-back appointments. You can either bring a friend to keep your dogs company while they're waiting or we can provide a dog-sitter. For large dog families in the local Frederick area, we can sometimes come to you. To discuss options, e-mail: HoodDogStudy@gmail.com or Kundey@hood.edu.
