posted Sep 20, 2009 5:04 PM by Ryan Baxter

summer's over and the honeybee preservation society is once again in full swing!

currently we are meeting after school on wednesdays in the amphitheater. if you haven't filled out the contact information sheet, please see me or download the document below and give it to me once you have filled it out. i also included the welcome letter if you did not receive it.

t-shirts will be the same as last year. for all those who need a t-shirt or want a new one, you need to go out and buy a yellow t-shirt. i know at micheal's they have yellow t-shirts for $3.99

i will be announcing the days when we will be painting the t-shirts very soon through email. if you don't receive an email in the next couple days, please email me at:

more info about the bracelets

posted Dec 9, 2008 8:10 PM by Ryan Baxter

hey guys, i'm allowing you to check out the bracelets before you pay for them but you'll need to write your name on a list. also, i have attached a small tag to each bracelet so that the consumer may read our credo and understand what we are working to accomplish; it also may help you to sell the bracelets. you need to know your product guys. i've attached a word document that has ten of these labels ordered on a page as well as the blown up jpeg version partly because i've recently discovered that it is possible and also because it may prove useful. thanks and see you thursday!

bracelets are here!

that's right, the bracelets came in the mail to-day! They will cost two dollars which means after paying for the cost of production and materials, we will be making approximately 49cents from each bracelet sold that goes directly toward funding research for honeybees and CCD. buy one and sell five! if this works out well, we'll buy more.

thanks to everyone for wearing your honeybee shirts for our picture! i noticed a lot of people now recognize our group because of these awesome shirts. we're bound to receive more attention from the school population. i'd also like remind everyone to come this thursday afternoon because we will be discussing selling bracelets. directly after the meeting, i plan to purchase them from an online vendor. i promise our club will pick up in this next month. see you all in the tuba room!

t-shirt painting a success!

posted Nov 5, 2008 2:37 PM by Ryan Baxter

thanks to everyone who came yesterday to paint t-shirts. they turned out wonderful and i'm glad to have gotten that done. club pictures are coming up you know. if you missed the t-shirt painting, i'll probably be scheduling another one next week. if you check the post archive, you can see what you need to have for painting. thanks guys, no meeting this week since yesterday was our meeting, but next week should be normal.

t-shirt painting info

are you guys ready for this tuesday? no, not election day, t-shirt painting day! we are unable to have a booth at bonfire but pictures are coming up and we need t-shirts! you need to have a yellow t-shirt (can be a polo, girls can have a school appropriate tank top) and the yellow cannot be too pale or too gold. this t-shirt and your person should be at my house for painting at 4:30!!!! we will not be having a meeting on thursday since it is a half day but this tuesday t-shirt painting pow wow is going to be the meeting essentially. my address should be in your inbox so long as i have your email and you can just google map it and if you get there it may only be ten to thirty minutes max depending on when you show up. thanks guys, i hope you all can make it, call me, email me, or talk to me if there is a problem (we can work it out).

oct 23 meeting

posted Oct 23, 2008 7:38 PM by Ryan Baxter

there was an official meeting to-day and i hope you all got a chance to come and hang out and eat bit o'honey's. we mostly talked about club t-shirts. since no one was bothering to submit much of a design for the t-shirts (except kara who made a type design for the t-shirt but unfortunately too small to pay anybody to print), i made an executive decision for everyone to bring their own yellow t-shirt in to be painted with black/grey stripes. it can be a tank top for girls, polo, t-shirt, pocket t-shirt, etc. they must be yellow (not too pale or too dark) and guys cannot have tank tops also this will be worn for our club picture. i know i told everyone that this shirt must be brought in by the 6th of november, but instead, i've changed this to the 5th of november. this is a wednesday and the day before bonfire (this way the paint can dry and we have enough time to finish them). tell me if there's a problem. we will be painting them at my house and that address will be emailed to everyone and if don't receive it, text, call, email, or see me at school. thanks and see you next week and the wednesday after that.

oct 16 meeting

sorry that there was no meeting to-day for the honeybee preservation society. if you did happen to come by, i still took attendance so i guess there was technically a meeting but you didn't need to show up. still, if you were there i tried to get anyone's email that i didn't already have. i've got a pretty good list and this group is now open to anybody in the world to view so if you know someone who wasn't invited, get them to come to this website for updates and information; including pictures of our patch design that needs a little more work before submission. thanks guys.
