Homeschoolers of Ann Arbor (HAA) is an inclusive, secular homeschooling group that meets weekly in Ann Arbor. Enrichment classes are offered, typically including a gym class. HAA is operated as a 4-H group, and is governed by an elected Board. Members pay yearly dues, which are used to pay for the meeting space, and HAA events. Mission Statement
The purpose of this 4-H group is to create an open minded, family oriented, member-driven support group for homeschooling families in and around Ann Arbor. Our group is committed to building a close-knit, diverse community dedicated to raising and educating our children primarily outside institutional environments. Within our group, educational philosophies and practices are respectfully exchanged and discussed. We are an all-inclusive group and are not bound by religious creeds or political parties. We warmly welcome members of diverse backgrounds and beliefs.
As part of a larger 4-H organization, we honor the Michigan State University Anti-Discrimination policy which reads as follows:
MSU is an affirmative-action, equal-opportunity employer. Michigan State University Extension programs and materials are open to all without regard to race, color, national origin, gender, gender identity, religion, age, height, weight, disability, political beliefs, sexual orientation, marital status, family status or veteran status. Persons with disabilities have the right to request and receive reasonable accommodations. |
