Welcome to my homepage! I am a Second year MSc student in the School of Computer Science and Engineering of BUAA and my advisor is Prof. Yiming Zhou, Meaningwhile, a research Intern in Lab for Multimedia Search , National University of Singapore, under supervision of Prof. Chua Tat-Seng.
I am looking for PhD position in top research groups.

RESEARCH EXPERIENCE

  • Sep.2008 – present, National University of Singapore, Research Intern
    • Aggregated Contextual Search Project for Singapore Press Holdings. Participated in designing and developing query suggestion module, clustering module of the aggregated search system based on Lucene (ACL'09 demo exhibition).
    • Proposed a novel framework to improve the performance of short texts clustering by exploiting the internal semantics from original text and external concepts from Wikipedia and WordNet (CIKM'09).

  • Dec.2006 – Sep.2008, Computational Intelligence Lab, Research Assistant
    • Theoretical and Experimental Studies on Mass Information Organization, Processing and Transmission (the 973 Project).
    • Participated in the design and development of the demo system using the architecture of FreeBSD, Apache, MySQL and PHP.
    • Proposed an algorithm to measure semantic similarity between two short texts based on shallow parsing (ICMLC'08).

  • Oct.2005 –Aug.2007 Beijing Education Examinations Authority, Developer
    • The Long-Distance Information Management System of Beijing Graduate Admission Council. Participated in developing the specific monitoring module of the Information System.
    • Wheel member of the Council for admission of graduate and undergraduate students in Beijing in 2006 and 2007.

  • May.2005-Oct.2005 Virtual Reality Lab, Research Intern
    • Virtual Olympics Museum (The 863 Project). Participated in modeling of the planes and development of the demo system.
    • Investigated in designing and developing a wireless information management system based on Palm OS, gain the 3rd Prize of FengRu Competition.
