Summer 1991.Friday afternoon in Washington DC.I was waiting for my connection train to the red line at Union Station when I was approached by a young lady. The first thing I’ve noticed was her beautiful smile. I could easily guess she was a model.So, she asked me what are I was doing for living.

We had a short conversation and she gave me a flyer promoting a home based business. She insisted I should come to a business presentation the following Thursday at a big hotel in downtown D.C.

To tell you the true, I was more interested in dating this girl than the business opportunity she was offering. When I arrived to the “Top Team”Meeting, I couldn’t believe what was happening.

The speaker was enthusiastic and at moment, I thought I was at a religious service. Many people went on the stage to share their personal experiences. Some have cried. I was so moved by the direct testimonies and I promised to try this incredible opportunity.

Other called it Network marketing…but it doesn’t matter.For the past 14 years, I have tried several MLM companies. From herbal products, fruit juice, vitamins, legal, telecommunication, financial and you name it…

I was introduced to several mlm by friends, family members, co-workers…

Helping your family members and your friends

I am not going to sit here and lie. I join many MLM companies to make money. Big money as they promised. But, I was more impressed by the idea of helping others.

We all want our friends to succeed and live a good life. You assume that it's a moral duty to share your MLM business with them. They can use the product and make money is the process.

What a noble mission!

Armed with my Dream and Passion, I’ve made a list of all my friends and family members... I went on and shared the business opportunity with them. The majority did not join my company but a few did. I’ve spend money in promotion tools to target “every breathing creatures” who came 2 feet close to me.

I’ve made a couple of dollars but I did not experience the success I was expecting. To my surprise, it was my fault.

I was told by my up line leaders that I should continue to speak to many people as I could. I should never give up. I’ve heard this rhetoric many times.

My problem with MLM is not about the product. Many companies have excellent products. My problem is concerning the core system of MLM, the business of friends telling friends...Or

When some join your company, they quit the business within the next three month. At one point, many people in my organization canceled their membership...

But the problem is that your family members and your friends have never expressed the desire to run a business. Many were happy with their job!

Experience shows that it’s difficult to change a person who is not willing to make that change. That’s the reason many don’t listen to your business presentation. Many avoid you and some have blocked your number…

They don’t care about your business because they are not business oriented persons

They have never expressed the desire to be an entrepreneur…

Although several networkers have experienced some success, the majority of people did not make any money!!!
