Hi, I
have been testing a heap of free home internet business ideas
for years. I have decided to do an experiment at starting from scratch
with these ideas. I will not be doing the scam sites or any of the ones
that I know give little or no return.
Just because a business idea is free does not mean that you do not
need to make any effort. Like all things you have to put lots of time
and effort into it to get any money coming in. It can take months before
you are getting any customers if you sell things on your own website.
Treat your work-from-home business like a business. Plan it, work at it
every day, write a business plan for it if you are serious. Those who
stick with it are likely to succeed.
Watch out for scams. Don't go for any site where you have to pay
money for a kit or ebook up front. Anything that promises lots of money
quickly or for no effort is a scam. You can't make a decent income from
reading emails, doing surveys or posting on blogs, no matter what some
people say.
Working from home ideas
I have
tested many working from home ideas and I also give advice to those just
starting and looking for the right business. Here are my suggestions:
If you have a skill like writing, speaking other languages,
computer programming, design etc. You could try working for yourself as a
freelancer. Many of these sites require you to bid on posted jobs.
Don't take jobs that pay slave wages. Only accept what you are worth.
Try
- www.elance.com
(though these are for low pay)
For
those who are great at graphic design or photography, you could try
selling your designs on gifts. These POD sites also provide shopkeeper
stores where you can offer your stuff to the public.
hundreds of products
- www.printfection.com
mostly clothing with some drinkware, great print quality
- www.zazzle.com
great clothing range
- www.cafepress.com
(not recommended due to unethical business practices)
- put your designs on skateboards
- www.spoonflower.com
- put your designs on fabric
- www.ponoko.com
- make things from sheet plastic, metal and wood. Fairly steep learning
curve.
- print and sell your photos and designs as prints and posters
If
you are an expert in your field, you can be paid to give advice
- www.bitwine.com
For
photographers, try selling your photos on stock photo sites. These
sites don't pay much but if you have a portfolio of hundreds or
thousands of photos, you can make a nice passive income.
-
www.fotolia.com
-
www.photographersdirect.com
-
www.bigstockphoto.com
I have used and made money from all these sites, and many more. You
just have to decide what you like doing and go for it.
