Update Feb 11 2011: Yeah, I've kinda delayed this project for now. I'll get back to it sometime. Seriously. I've got the general design of the hardware drawn out on paper. I just need to check my design again, order parts, build it, and figure out how to program it. At the moment though, I'm rather preoccupied with less recreational tasks.

Basically, I decided that it would be cool to build a computer from scratch, like the homebrew computing club of the late 70's.

Currently, I am getting educated on the topic so I can start a more detailed design with specific chips. After that, I will build and optimize it.
